Everyone Counts to Provide Online Polling Services for the Independent Voter Network Survey

Independent Voter Network launches online polling tool throughout California

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego, CA – The Independent Voter Network, a publication of the Independent Voter Project (IVP) launched the first-ever Online Independent Voter Survey on Monday, May 14. The survey can be accessed by visiting www.ivn.us and is poised to offer first-time insight into the minds of Independent voters registered in select congressional and legislative districts throughout California.

The survey is available to Independent voters in nine districts where they are likely to have a notable influence on the outcome of the June 5 elections as a result of California’s new open primary. The open primary allows voters of all party preferences (or none at all) to vote for any candidate on the ballot. Each independent voter in these selected districts received a mailer with a unique identification code that allows him or her to participate anonymously and securely in the survey.

“We are proud to launch the Online Independent Voter Survey today because it will give voters across California a peek into what the future of elections is poised to become,” said Steve Peace, co-chair of the Independent Voter Project. “The technological possibilities provided by Everyone Counts, Inc’s software voting and survey platform combined with the opportunities afforded by the new open primary law in California will allow the voice of Independent voters in California to be heard in a manner that we have yet to experience.”

The poll will be available until midnight on May 22 to Independent voters in the following districts:

  • Congressional Districts: CD10, CD26 and CD52
  • Senate Districts: SD5, SD15 and SD39
  • Assembly Districts: AD8, AD28 and AD77

San Diego-based Everyone Counts, Inc. will provide the state-of-the-art election administration software and voting system for this online poll.

“We are honored to partner with the Independent Voter Project for their first-ever Online Independent Voter Survey,” said Lori Steele, CEO of Everyone Counts, Inc. “It is our hope that Independent voters throughout California will use our secure, state-of-the-art voting and survey software to participate in this poll and experience firsthand the future of the election process.”
