Marketing Specialist – Visual Designer

The Marketing Visual Designer will be an integral part of the marketing team in our La Jolla, California corporate headquarters. The successful candidate will be able to accomplish projects in a fast-paced and deadline-critical environment. A love of all-things branding, the art of visual communication and the ability to incorporate innovative design into corporate communications are all must-haves for someone that wants to change the world with a mission-driven company.

The position will work directly with and report to the Marketing Manager to develop, design and produce marketing materials—both digital and printed. A successful candidate will have experience in branding and identity development; collateral design and production; digital design for social, web and email applications. Creativity and an understanding of customer experience for our B2B customers as well as end-users is key.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and enhance the Everyone Counts brand—you will be the keeper of the VISUAL BRAND
  • Ensure consistent, effective, branded marketing communications across the company website, corporate emails, print communication, social media, online advertising and other channels
  • Develop, design and produce company sales and marketing collateral that conform to company brand guidelines including sales decks and digital sales materials
  • Order, manage in-hand inventory and distribute sales and marketing materials such as collateral, banners/posters, business cards and tchotchkes as needed
  • Develop and code (HTML) designs for web-ready distribution for company website, email delivery and social platforms
  • Assist in trade show and conference logistics including tracking upcoming shows, coordinating the creation of marketing materials and shipping collateral and booth materials
  • Occasional video editing for use on web, social and other owned platforms
  • Occasional updating of Salesforce opportunities and data, preparing reports, entering campaigns
  • Assist in developing and editing content for sales and marketing materials including but not limited to collateral, email campaigns, website, social media as requested
  • Assist team members in any research or preparation required for meetings, presentations and conferences
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams including software engineering, professional services, product management and technical writing teams
  • Work closely with internal departments and teams to coordinate multiple marketing projects to ensure on-time and within budget delivery
  • Manage external partners including ad agencies, vendors and technology partners
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Everyone Counts Electronic Library

  • Organize and maintain company library assets in Google Docs
  • Organize and maintain Creative Cloud database
  • Manage all images, templates and collateral files for easy access online

Graphics and Collateral

  • Create sales materials, banners, posters, etc.

Website

  • Develop and implement coded material to integrate with current and/or redeveloped web properties including owned and social platforms

Email

  • Design templates in keeping with existing distribution platform’s requirements
  • Update content for email distribution on a regular basis for scheduled and ad-hoc deliveries

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related visual design discipline
  • Three to five years experience in a corporate and/or agency environment
  • Must have exceptional creative, strategic, and analytical skills. Deep experience in tracking and measuring results; highly comfortable using and managing based on metrics including funnel conversion, customer acquisition, lifetime value and ROI
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Marketing Cloud (Pardot, ExactTarget, etc.)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Basecamp, Asana and Wrike
  • Must be proficient in Google Docs and Salesforce
  • Must be well-versed in visual best practices for web, email and social
  • A deep understanding of HTML/CSS/Java, XML
  • Familiarity with Wordpress and other CMS platforms
  • Grammar, editing, and writing skills is a plus
  • Agency experience is a plus
