Theodore G. Schwartz
As Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ted Schwartz has driven APAC Customer Services, Inc., to become a leading international provider of business process outsourcing and call center services. Ted formed APAC Radio America in 1973, specializing in telephone sales of brokered radio and cable TV advertising time. Under his leadership, Radio America grew to be the largest and most successful business of its kind.
In the mid-1980’s, he identified and addressed the untapped potential for telephone-based marketing and customer management. Realizing the potential for success, Ted sold Radio America and shifted his focus to APAC Customer Services. In 1992, Ted’s vision led APAC to focus on optimizing customer relationships for a wide range of industry-leading clients. Under his direction and leadership, APAC became a publicly traded major outsourcing provider with expertise in service and sales.
Ted has gained much industry recognition including the prestigious Pioneer Award, induction into the American Teleservices Association Hall of Fame, as well as the Call Center Solutions Hall of Fame. In addition, he has received the University of Illinois Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Award and the Illinois High Tech Entrepreneur Award. As an active industry voice, his opinions have been sought by numerous national publications and industry journals.
Ted is currently a principal of TCS Group L.L.C., a diversified investor in Hedge Funds, PrivateEquity, and Real Estate.
