"Access to the ballot box is a fundamental right in all democracies, and Everyone Counts is providing greater access and empowerment to voters to use that right through the use of modern technology."
The Honorable Paul DeGregorio has dedicated his career to the promotion of democracy, elections, and the right to vote. He strongly believes that Everyone Counts and its team of professionals is uniquely focused on bringing the best technology and management solutions to election officials and voters in any jurisdiction in the world.
Paul has a unique perspective on digital elections and the introduction of the type of solution-oriented technologies that Everyone Counts brings to its clients. He has been a speaker at many international conferences on digital elections, and has assessed the use of Internet voting in the Netherlands, Estonia, and England, and worked with the Swiss government on a 2007 forum that focused on their successful e-voting pilot programs.
Paul has served in significant policy-making, management, assessment, and training positions for several prominent institutions. His impact has been worldwide, having worked in more than 20 countries for more than 22 years as an election expert. As Chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) and the nation's chief election official, he focused on implementing the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) and fostering higher standards for electronic voting, best practices for election officials, and encouraging the use of new technology to serve voters, particularly voters with special needs. While serving on the EAC from 2003-2007, Paul helped to distribute and oversee more than $3 billion in funding to U.S. election officials, which brought new technology, new ideas, and new leadership to the area of election reform.
